Last Chance to Get Your 2011 Upstate Chili Cook-off T-Shirt!

The design for the 2011 Official SC Chili Cook-off Championship was chosen after a contest in which Anderson County school children were given the opportunity to submit their ideas. The winning design came from Sloane Darby, daughter of Steve and Alison Darby of Anderson, and a 6th grader at Belton Middle School. Sloane enjoys playing the piano, singing with the GAMAC Girls Choir and BMS Ideals Chorus, participating with youth activities at Belton First Baptist Church, and fencing at a local academy. Her love of artistic endeavors started at an early age when she began creating "special pictures" to give to friends and family, and she has taken many art classes at Belton Center for the Arts to improve her skills. Sloane loves to travel and plans to use the $250 prize awarded for her winning design on a special summer trip.

We've slashed the price on our 2011 t-shirts to get rid of our remaining inventory, so now's the time to order one for the whole family. You'll look chili pepper hot all summer in this colorful, easy to care for tee, and every time you wear it, you'll remember what a great time you had at the 2011 Official SC Chili Cook-off Championship in beautiful downtown Belton! Shirts are white with multi-colored logo on front and back. 50% cotton/50% polyester blend for easy machine washing and drying.

HOT TIP: Peppers range in intensity from sweet bell peppers (0 Skoville heat units) to the Dorset Naga pepper (923,000 Skoville heat units), which is native to northeastern India. Taking a bite of naga pepper has been compared to getting a bite from a king cobra!
