2012 SC Chili Cook-off Championship 
Schedule of Events          

This is a tentative schedule only. Confirmed scheduled will be posted closer to April 14th, 2012. Please check back.

Please note: cooks who are flying in for the cook-off, please contact us so we can partner you 
with a local cook to provide assistance and equipment.

The following entertainment and activities will be available:

  • Arts and crafts exhibits and sales by local artisans
  • Informational booths hosted by area businesses and services
  • Homemade baked goods, canned goods, cookbooks, and other items offered by local churches . 
Friday, April 13  
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM Cooks' Party - By invitation only. 
Entertainment will be provided.
   
Saturday, April 14  
6:30 AM Cooks will convoy to cook-off site
7:00 AM Streets close and set-up begins
7:45 AM Cooks' Breakfast
8:30 AM Cooks' Meeting
9:00 AM Event opens to the public
10:00 AM  Light the fires on Green Verde entries
10:00 AM Mandatory Judges meeting
10:00 AM Opening Ceremony on entertainment stage
10:30 AM Musical entertainment on the entertainment stage
11:00 AM Light the fires on Red Chili entries
11:00 AM  Salsa Turn-In
12:30 PM Rising Stars Tennis Tournament Winners Announced on Main Stage
12:45 PM  Musical entertainment on the Entertainment Stage
1:00 PM  Green Verde Turn-In
2:00 PM  Red Chili Turn-In
2:00 PM  Musical entertainment on the Entertainment Stage
4:00 PM  Awards Ceremony on the Main Stage
6:00 PM  Streets reopen to traffic
